Once the order was taken it took 30 minutes to get my two scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and turkey sausage. A typical work day would be greeting people at the door, straightening things up, and helping guests. Cracker Barrel is a very hard company to work for for some people. The facebook group helps though. Then there are times its just the opposite. This was my first job and it was a good place for that because they have employees specifically for training new people.
I can say that I still have my shirts and my skirts that I bought too. Hours are extremely tough to go by and only employees that have been there for a very long time get the great hours, otherwise you're struggling to pick up if you can only work during the day. . Today I returned from a weekend trip and thought I would visit one of my favorite restaurants Cracker Barrel. I had privacy, don't think I was able to be seen, but I definitely wasn't happy about it and it ruined my attitude towards getting ready for work from then on out. Basically selling old timey toys and random knick knacks to the customers - which are majority old, white, country type. It used to be really great working here and I would have never thought about quitting. She had favorites and talked down to people.
When we came we had so many worries, that just for that moment we were off in a cloud of happiness, our belly full and our bags for of surprises to eat or wear or give.
